Who bills the unprovable?

Hunter, Enrow, Dropcontact, the waterfalls: fine tools, most of them. The billing rule is where we differ. Below, their own public wording next to ours, dates attached.

Mozart vs. Hunter · public wording, July 29, 2026

The accept-all, billed as a result.

Hunter is a fine platform with an honest verifier, except on one point. Accept-all domains are verified with a proprietary method, then billed like any other verdict. We hold the credit until the proof exists.

The ruleHunter, their wordsAt Mozart
Catch-all domains
HunterAccept-all verification: We’re able to verify accept-all addresses with several major email providers using Hunter’s proprietary solution. An accept-all verdict counts, and is billed, as a result.
At MozartWe run deeper signals on accept-alls too. A result ships only when it’s proven; below that bar you get not-found and 0 credits
Billing model
Hunter1 credit = 1 email found via Domain Search… 0.5 credit = 1 email verified.
At Mozart1 credit per proven email, 0.1 per verification. Not-found, timeouts and unproven catch-alls come back returned → 0
Where results come from
Hunter…a match in our extensive database of email addresses found publicly on the web. If there is no likely match, the Email Finder considers the likely permutations of the person’s name.
At MozartNo database at all. Every address is established live from DNS, MX, SMTP and Microsoft 365 signals: 96% precision on returned addresses.
Entry price
HunterStarter, 49 € a month for 2 000 credits.
At MozartSonata, 15 € a month for 1 000 credits. Free plan: 50 credits, no card.

Where Hunter wins: breadth. Sequences, a light CRM, integrations everywhere, a browser extension used by 600 000+ people, and a free plan that renews its 50 credits monthly. As an all-in-one outreach platform, Hunter plays a wider game than we do.

Bring your Hunter export. Columns come back intact, and re-verifying a list costs 0.1 credit per address: verdicts we can’t prove cost nothing.

Mozart vs. Enrow · public wording, July 29, 2026

Same promise, different receipts.

Enrow says “No result, no charge”, prices its plans at 15 € and 75 €, and verifies catch-alls. On paper we are close. What separates us is what each of us can show you.

The ruleEnrow, their wordsAt Mozart
The promise
EnrowNo result, no charge. The same sentence we use, with no published measurement behind it as of July 29, 2026.
At MozartThe same rule, with receipts: every API response carries billable and charged fields, line by line.
Catch-all domains
EnrowOther tools stop at catch-all and wish you luck. We go further. A catch-all verdict is delivered, and billed, as valid.
At MozartWe go further too, then bill only what’s proven. Below the bar: not-found and 0 credits
Published proof
EnrowNo precision figure, no false-positive rate, no methodology page found on their site.
At Mozart96% precision on +15 000 real campaign leads. 0.08% false positives on a thousands-profile ground truth. The method is public.
Price grid
EnrowStart, 15 € a month for 1 000 credits. Pro, 75 € for 10 000.
At MozartSonata, 15 € for 1 000. Opus, 75 € for 10 000. Identical grid, so the rows above are the whole difference.

Where Enrow wins: phones. Verified mobile numbers and direct lines are half their product, and we don’t do phones at all. Call-first teams will find things there that Mozart doesn’t offer.

A claim is only worth the measurement behind it: read how ours are made.

Mozart vs. Dropcontact · public wording, July 29, 2026

Close in spirit, different in two rules.

Algorithmic, GDPR-first, no stored database: Dropcontact reasons about enrichment the way we do, and their benchmark culture is genuinely good. Two rules still separate us, and they are the two we care most about.

The ruleDropcontact, their wordsAt Mozart
Billing model
DropcontactPay on success appears as one feature line inside the Starter plan.
At MozartNever billing the unproven is the architecture, on every plan, and every API line shows billable and charged.
Catch-all domains
DropcontactAdvanced catch-all verification, listed among plan features.
At MozartCatch-alls verified too, with the harder ending: unproven means not-found and 0 credits
Verification method
DropcontactProprietary algorithms and test servers, no stored personal database. The closest approach to ours in this set.
At MozartLive DNS, MX, SMTP and Microsoft 365 signals: 99.4% binary precision on M365 verdicts.
Entry price
DropcontactStarter, 79 € a month for 500 credits.
At MozartSonata, 15 € a month for 1 000 credits. Free plan: 50 credits, no card.

Where Dropcontact wins: the CRM. Native HubSpot and Pipedrive enrichment, duplicate merging, first-name and civility cleaning, SIREN and legal data on French companies. As a CRM-native cleaner it is ahead of us, and ahead of most.

Mozart vs. Waterfalls · public wording, July 29, 2026

Coverage by cascade.

FullEnrich, BetterContact and the category they lead chain 20 or more data vendors and keep the first answer that comes back. The find rate is real. So is the number of companies your prospect list visits on the way.

The ruleWaterfalls, their wordsAt Mozart
Where your list goes
WaterfallsWe aggregate contact info from 20+ premium vendors. FullEnrich publishes the cascade: Clearbit, Hunter, Snov, ContactOut, Anymail Finder and more. Each vendor processes your prospects.
At MozartMozart queries no one. Zero third-party APIs; your lists never leave our infrastructure.
Who verifies
WaterfallsBetterContact includes email verification through Bouncer, a third party, and offers Use your own API keys.
At MozartWe verify ourselves and publish how: 99.4% binary precision on M365 verdicts.
Find rate vs. precision
Waterfalls+80% find rate, aggregated across vendors with different standards. A rate inflated by 20 sources means more emails, and more bounces.
At MozartWe state what we found and what we could not, plainly, row by row. 96% precision on what we return, and the unproven costs 0 credits
GDPR surface
WaterfallsEvery vendor in the cascade is one more subprocessor holding your data, each with its own DPA.
At MozartOne processor. Made in France.

Where waterfalls win: coverage at any cost. When every row must be filled and mobile numbers matter, a 20-vendor cascade fills more rows than any single engine, ours included. That is the trade, and it should be made knowingly.

The hard questions

Asked frontally, answered whole.

Why does Mozart return catch-alls as not-found instead of billing them?

A catch-all domain accepts every address, so a surface check proves nothing. We run deeper signals on it and return the address only when it is highly probable. Below that bar we return not-found, the held credit goes back to your balance, and you pay 0. Others refund the bad result after you complain. With Mozart, it is simply never billed.

Are these comparisons up to date?

Every competitor quote on this page is their own public wording, retrieved July 29, 2026 from their sites. Products and prices change. If something here no longer matches what a competitor publishes, tell us and we will correct it.

Can I bring a list exported from one of these tools?

Yes. Upload the CSV as is: your columns come back intact and in order. Re-verifying costs 0.1 credit per address, files run up to 5 000 rows, and any address we cannot prove is returned free.
